This listing is for a vintage vacuum tube that was made by General Electric and licensed as a Raytheon Tube. It is the type 12AU7. This is a black plate General Electric tube. This has the square getter the angles downward at the end. The date code on this is 1957. I believe because it’s 5739 and it was made in factory code 280. This tube has been tested. It was part of a new old stock lot that I had bought. It is free of any leaks, shorts, or audio quality issues. I did test these tubes to make sure that they were in fact new old stock after I bought them and they’re all testing within 5% of a brand new tube should so this is a very strong tube likely new old stock, but since I’m not the original owner, I cannot say for sure. That’s why I listed it as an open box The person who had these must’ve stored them without boxes for a long while, but I put it in an admiral box and I did test it and it tested at full strength. I just gave my old tester away so I couldn’t retest it for GM while I’m listing this because I ordered a new one and it should be here any day now so if you’re interested in knowing the transconductance and this listing is up, ask me if I could test it for you and I will when I get my tester if I hadn’t yet.
