Only the more recent 2203x reissues that have an effects loop***Super cool way of adding more preamp gain to the 2203 without any solid state technology, pedals, or clipping diodes. Like an old school amp mod, but without actually modifying the amp. Just swap the hot mod for preamp valve no. 2 (after turning the amp off, of course) and you're good to go. But you can always remove the hot mod, plug the old 12a7x into v2, and your amp is back to factory. Like new. Purchased two years ago and installed in a Marshall 2203x reissue that never leaves my house. Save yourself $50 off the asking price for a new one.
