Description

Hello. Cleaning up again. Here is for sale is quiet rare two chassis vacuum tube preamplifier. Made by LiTe Audio, China and I do believe it was available in a kit form. I am the second owner and don't really know the history. Anyway, this is one great vacuum tube( tube rolling anyone??) based Line stage only, preamplifier. It is housed in two separate chassis, one for each channel, each with its own power supply. It features 4 Audiophile grade RCA inputs, and one RCA output. On the front panel there is a digital display(bright and readable) showing input channel and volume starting at -80 as a silent point.Four buttons on the front are: Power, Input selector(will go thru 1-2-3-4-in a loop, by default when turn on it is always on input #2, so I do recommend to use it as your main connected source you are listening the most), and volume up and down. There is a Brand New remote control which allows you to change inputs, volume up and down and mute. You can separately MANUALLY adjust volume on each unit to actually adjust Balance. Each unit features following tubes per unit: One new(not even broken in) 6Z4 by Amptata, One NOS Sylvania 12B4A, One vintage GE 6201(high grade 12AT7WB), Two vintage JAN 5751 (12AX7) and One brand new JJ ECC83S (12AX7). So, multiply that by two. They sound great, exactly what you expect from Vacuum Tubes. I should say that there is some hiss on volume up, but that is normal for tube gear, you can't hear it while music is playing. There is great possibilities with tube rolling. I must say that initially I wanted to go with all JJ ECC83S/12AX7 and there was too much hiss, so I replaced some of the ECC83 with 5751 tubes and there was significant reduction of hiss. I only have 4 5751s, you can get two more and run it that way for even quieter background. There is also a slight mechanical hum from transformers, not audible thru speakers! This is probably due to some DC pollution in my power line. As you can see on the video they are playing really good connected to Emotiva X amp, Sony tape deck and a pair of home brew speakers which are 8Ohm and has Hail tweeters. NOTHING else on the pictures or video included in this sale, ONLY two chassis preamps, power cables and remote. Chassis is of regular/standard size, and you will need two shelves, do NOT stuck them! They are getting really warm! They need proper ventilation! What you see on the picture was done for taking a picture moment! They are pretty heavy and they will be shipped in two separate boxes. Please, make sure you understand, that the shipping rate is for one unit/box, so whatever shipping rate you see,it needs to be doubled. You will need to wait for my invoice before you pay for them, so I can adjust the shipping. Cosmetically both in great condition with only minimal wear. Units are for 120V operation. As with all used gear sold strictly AS IS but guaranteed not DOA. There are no original boxes, but I will ship safely. I will include remote and two heavy duty standard power cables. There is no manual, it is very self explanatory. I am listing them PER UNIT, so you need to buy two to have a stereo pair. They will be shipped in two separate boxes.
