You are looking at a 1:43 Alfa Romeo-Ferrari C41 resin model of retired 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen - made by resin and diecast German model manufacturer Minichamps (Product Code: 447 212307) The 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season would turn out to be the last for the ever enigmatic Iceman, Kimi Raikkonen. Loved by the F1 world, media and fans for his monotonic, laid back approach, as well as having memorable lines over team radios, it was fair to say that the Finn would be a hard act to follow for anyone coming into F1. His final season with the Alfa Romeo team was one of struggle, scoring only 10 points all season with four points finishes from the 22 race calendar. His final grand prix car was given a small alteration on the engine cover, with the words "Dear Kimi, We Will Leave You Alone Now" as a double reference to him retiring from F1, and mimicking his famous "Just Leave Me Alone, I Know What I'm Doing" quote over radio from the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, a race in which he won for Lotus. His final race wasn't the send off that he and team hoped for either. Crashing in free practice 2, he qualified in a lowly 18th place, just ahead of the HAAS cars of Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher. While the headlines were dominated by the title fight between Sir Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen and it's highly controversial ending behind the Safety Car, Raikkonen's race went almost unnoticed before he crashes into the barriers on Lap 26 at Turn 6, putting to an end his 349th race, and his F1 career. The model features Kimi's Alfa Romeo-Ferrari C41 with which he used to compete in his final F1 race at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It is the first version CK Modelcars and Paddock Legends Edition exclusive to both German model retailers, and is a limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide. It comes complete with the "Dear Kimi, We Will Leave You Alone Now" message on the engine cover and on the model's inlay card.
